Our pizza dough technique
Dough is a rewarding culinary adventure that results in a flavourful and airy crust, perfect for any pizza lover.
Start by mixing high-quality flour, water, salt, and a small amount of yeast to create a simple dough. Allow the dough to ferment slowly in the refrigerator for 24 to 72 hours, which enhances the flavour and texture through the natural processes of fermentation.
This slow fermentation allows the yeast to develop complex flavours while breaking down gluten, making the dough more digestible.
Once ready, carefully hand-stretch the dough rather than using a rolling pin, to maintain the airiness and structure.
This traditional technique preserves the delicate bubbles that form during fermentation, creating a crust that's crispy on the outside yet soft and chewy on the inside.
Top your hand-stretched dough with your favourite ingredients and bake it in a preheated oven for a delicious homemade pizza.
